EMPLOYMENT LAW
We regularly represent clients in state and federal courts and administrative forums in a diverse spectrum of employment disputes, including claims of age, race, religious, gender and disability discrimination, workers’ compensation discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful and retaliatory discharge, wage and hour, ERISA, COBRA and WARN Act violations, Family and Medical Leave Act and unemployment compensation controversies, breach of employment contract and noncompetition covenants, defamation, and invasion of privacy.
We also advise and consult with employers, draft employee handbooks, and facilitate workplace training sessions for the purpose of avoiding and preventing problems. Consultation/training topics include employee discipline and discharge, handbook and policy review, investigation of employee misconduct and complaints, wage and hour issues, employee leave questions, FMLA, ADA and workers’ compensation, reduction in force and WARN issues, immigration and naturalization problems, drug and alcohol testing and employee monitoring and privacy questions.
